The course was designed by the internationally acclaimed golf course architect, Bob Moore Jr. The club features an 27-hole championship course that offers a mix of water hazards, sand bunkers, and undulating fairways to challenge players of all skill levels. Each of the nines are great to play, although the 9th hole of the South and West are arguably the best holes of the course.

The course is well-maintained and offers a beautiful natural setting with scenic views of the surrounding landscape. The club has won many accolades, repeatedly rated the Best Golf Course in Indonesia by Asian Golf Awards and Golf Digest over the past decade.  There’s also the reason why it is the home for the Asian Tour ‘Indonesian Masters’.

You don’t miss Royale Jakarta if you are in town.

Damai Indah

Damai Indah Golf consists of two international championship courses in completely different and challenging surroundings, the Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) course, located in the West Java satellite city of BSD; and Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) course, located along the Java Sea in North Jakarta.

The Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) Course is Jack Nicklaus's maiden project in Indonesia. He ensured this 6,545-meter, par 72 course incorporated many of his personal favorite features, including waste bunkers flanking the fairways from some of the world's top courses. The fairways are typically wide, but the BSD greens often feature two or even three tiers which make 2-putting a good accomplishment.

On the other hand, the Pantai Indah Kapuk(PIK) course is located along the Java Sea coastline that incorporates relaxing pools and gently winding dtreams as strategically positioned water hazards and bunkers, and rustic fieldstone walls made of indigenous stone.

The "Spirit of the Sea" has been designed to offer the most pleasurable views by skillfully integrating the natural beauty of the coastal wetlands within this par-72-par, 6,048-meter course.  Yes, the Robert Trent Jones Jr designed Pantai Indah Kapuk, incorporates the Java Sea into lakes and waterways that virtually surround every golf hole.

Regularly rated among the top golf courses in the whole of Indonesia, these courses are the perfect foils to Royale Jakarta.

Sedayu Indo Golf

Unlike Thailand and Vietnam, there aren’t that many new golf course developments in Jakarta. But if you are looking for a newer set up for a refreshed experience at a newer, prime condition and manicured golf course, you will find it at Sedayu Indo Golf course.  Better still, the course is located just 15-20 minutes from the Jakarta International Airport (CGK), away from the maddening traffic of the city, conveniently allow tee-offs immediately after landing at the airport, or just prior to a departure.

The golf course is designed by Nicklaus Design as a ‘hybrid-links’ course.  Perhaps a “man-made links course” puts of some golf purists, Sedayu Indo course delivers the ‘sleight of hand’ to create a memorable experience on the links-like holes.  The gentle sea breezes that keep temperatures reasonable among these holes. The best links holes make their way around the island and have views of the Java Sea. Deceptively pretty pot bunkers dot the fairways and landing areas are unique and add to the challenges.

Due to the use of Paspalum Supreme grass, the tee boxes and fairways are always pristine and great to hit from, but the greens tend to be a little slower than most.  Don’t let that negate all the other positive experiences, just put it a little firmer!
